The Paramount High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team is flying high this season with a strong 5-2 league record. Their latest victory over Dominguez High School has positioned the Lady Pirates for another playoff run as they aim to finish their final league games strong.
With just three matches left—against Gahr, Lynwood (final home game), and Firebaugh—the Pirates are determined to close out their league campaign with high spirits and strong community support. This year’s roster features six dedicated seniors leading the way, setting the tone with their experience and leadership.
Last season, the Lady Pirates made history by earning a Co-League Championship—their first since 1980. Building on that momentum, the team now has its sights set on another playoff appearance and the opportunity to continue their winning tradition.
Beyond the wins and the excitement on the court, the Lady Pirates’ success reflects Paramount Unified School District’s mission of empowering every student to reach their full potential. Through discipline, teamwork, and resilience, these student-athletes embody the qualities of well-rounded learners prepared for future success both in sports and in life.
The District congratulates the Lady Pirates on their achievements so far and invites the community to come out and cheer them on as they finish their season and strive toward the playoffs.
