School Site Council
School Site Council (SSC) reviews, develops, and approves the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and ensures that the school is continually engaged in identifying and implementing curriculum and best instructional practices. At the secondary level, SSC is composed to ensure parity between (a) the principal, classroom teachers, and other school personnel, and (b) equal numbers of parents elected by parents, and students. SSC has officers with responsibilities to assist in the meetings and actions of the committee. Once the members of SSC are elected, the committee holds elections where the roles of chairperson, vice chairperson, and secretary are filled.
