Four (4) programs exist this summer for students at the West Campus. All are designed to prepare students for success in the fall!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
SUMMER BRIDGE
Summer Bridge is designed for eighth grade students entering the ninth grade in the Fall of 2021-22. If an eighth-grade student demonstrates a need to strengthen study skills and develop further understanding in Language Arts and Math they become eligible to attend Summer Bridge. An invitation is sent by mail in April that includes a line asking for their name, birthdate and current. Returning this portion of the invitation indicates the student's attendance. For convenience, families can also confirm their attendance by completing the online form LINKED HERE. This online form and/or the student’s name on the paper invitation are due Friday, June 4th, 2021.
EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR
Extended School Year is an important program giving students with Individualized Education Plans an opportunity to gain academic, social, and emotional ground in preparation for success in the Fall!
Students participating in this program were sent an invitation and needed to complete an online registration form due in May.
“Extended School Year” is provided for students during both Summer sessions (June 14th - July 1 and July 6th – July 22nd).
Classes start at 8:30 AM and end at 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Transportation is NOT provided except as indicated in student’s IEP.
To find out if you qualify for this essential program contact your “Case Carrier” or reach out to the school office where the student attends 8th grade.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) PREP
Students qualifying for the AP Human Geography Prep course at the West Campus who registered in the 8th grade to take AP Human Geography as a 9th grader in the Fall. Hosted online, this important course begins June 14th and continues until July 1. The online AP Human Geography Prep begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday.
A passing grade earns (5) elective credits on their high school transcript.
9TH GRADE CREDIT RECOVERY
Student qualify for the 9th Grade Credit Recovery sessions if they received “NC” (No Credit) during their 2020-21 ninth grade school year. Families were sent an invitation based on student’s performance showing that additional help was needed in order to gain proficiency in core subjects including Math and Language Arts.
Classes start at 8:30 AM and end at 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday. Transportation is NOT provided except as indicated in student’s IEP.
